There were recurrent proposals to extend the subway from Brooklyn to Staten Island beginning with the Dual Contracts in 1913, and stretching through the Second System proposals of 1929 and 1939.
I watched the first few seconds of that video and as soon as he finished speaking, I had to stop it. The absurdity is so overwhelming.
Don’t know if I would have the patience or composure to speak with someone like that. Opening statement just was enough for me. Props to Melissa Lafsky for agreeing to spend time on the air w/ Fox Business.
Fox News… Useless.
And even if I wanted to entertain the ideas that he had points about redistributing and what not, he doesnt know how to make an argument other than yelling at the person he’s debating. Who does he think he is? Mike Francessa?
When are people going to start to realize that you can’t win on these shows. It’s the guys show. He is going to win. Everyone watching already agrees with him and is going to take his side. You can’t win his game.
If you agree to go on his show, you have to force him to make a agreement. No interrupting, no raising your voice, and no name calling. That’s what Michael Moore does when he goes on Fox News, and then it is the only time that the channel is worth watching, and there is a thoughtful debate.
Wow, I hadn’t seen any Fox Business yet. That was just amazingly atrocious. Fucking sad the U.S. even has a market for that crap.
I couldnt get past a minute into the video. I was expecting a debate, not a host shouting over his guest at every single point.
“What do you think about this?’
“I think that…”
“YOU’RE WRONG BLAH BLAH BLAH”
Who watches this crap?
A lot of people watch this crap. It’s therapeutic. Think of it as regulars shouting down someone who disagrees with them on a comment thread, but on TV.
Why even bother having guests on the show if you’re just going to attack them from the first second and then not let them speak?
