		<description>I don't quite see why people hate the bendy buses so much.  As a cyclist, I recognize that they're a bit more dangerous to try and bike around (it's pretty easy to get pinned to an inside corner, which is obviously deadly) but they are also really fantastic as a bus!  As a passenger, there's much less congestion getting on and off (three doors), there's all sorts of room inside, and the ride seems comfortable enough to me.  

They're also more modern than most of the current double-deckers in London, so they're quieter and less smelly (VERY important when biking right behind the tailpipe. 

It might also be worth checking out the 'guided bus' system, for instance as soon to be implemented in Cambridge (UK).  Explanation of the scheme here (http://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/transport/guided/) and here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambridgeshire_Guided_Busway).</description>
