Say what you will about America’s mortal enemy the former Soviet Union, but they built some wild bus stops.

The strangest thing about these bus stops is that they all appear to be in the middle of nowhere. Who are the buses for?

I saw dozens of similar ones in Uzbekistan (former Soviet Union), for local and intercity buses apparently. They are magnificent but hardly used - people prefer to wait outside, at least in summer.
